The Sensory Table System and canopy are made from Greenguard Gold Certified solid birch wood and coated with a water-resistant coating, making the entire unit durable enough for indoor or outdoor activities (store indoors when not in use). A deep play basin with drain is included, creating an invitation for open-ended activities using playful materials such as beans, rice, or traditional sand and water. The slatted canopy features a graceful, Pikler-inspired arch, which promotes active, exploratory play across multiple levels, nurtures natural curiosities, and overlays additional gross motor skills as children engage their entire bodies, attach tubes, and drape silks.

Children can incorporate the double-sided lid into art activities by using the chalkboard, or remove it to create a convenient storage shelf below the bin.
